Gus Dudgeon is a famous producer. Many compositions have been released with his help, from Elton John to Bonza Dog. Once Thomas met this talented person who helped him with producing his first solo album Different. Dudgeon was a producer and a sound director at the same time. 

Dudgeon was born in 1943 in Surrey. He started his career in the 60 th. He left school when he was 16 years old and after that within 4 years he changed 11 jobs trying to find something suitable for him. At that time he first appeared in Manpower studio. Talking to his employer, an ordinary guy declared that he liked music, clothes and girls. Then he began to work in the studio and as soon as he came there he felt that it was a right place for him.

In 1968 Gus started his own business - his new producing company. One of his first customers was David Bowie. Dudgeon became popular due to David and his hit 'Space Oddity'. After that he worked with Paul McCartney, the leader of 'The Beatles'. They were co-producers, however, their names didn't appear together - Gus was given a pseudonym. 

Gus says that he doesn't know very much about maintaining a studio and different equipment and he just does everything the way he likes.

Gus Dudgeon has died tragically in August of 2002. "We grieve over Gus Dudgeon, a great producer and friend," – these words were published by Thomas on his official homepage.

Далее последовала работа с лидером Битлов - Полом МакКартни (Paul McCartney). Они были со-продюсерами, однако, их имена вместе так и не появились - Гасу присвоили псевдоним.

Сам же Гас говорил, что нечего не соображает в оборудовании студии и всяких механизмах, однако делает все так, как ему больше нравится.
