Thomas's compatriot and namesake Bernd Höfer was born on the 18th of February 1963 in Sankt-Sebastian. His first visit to Russia was in June 1997.

He was involved into music from his childhood: first he begun playing guitar, but from the age of 20 he has begun playing the keyboard instruments.

After the comeback of "Modern Talking" he appeared to be the only musician from the Thomas's company who was involved in "Modern Talking".

Though the work with "Modern Talking" is not the main one for Bernd - he was participating in the production of 4 musicals as a music director (including the "Les Miserables"), which were very successful in Germany.

For his 40th birthday he has decided to make a present for him: to write the music for musical "Elemotions", its first night performance took place in Germany on the 21st of February, 2003.

Земляк и тёзка Томаса Бернд Хёфер родился 18 февраля 1963 года в местечке Sankt-Sebastian. В России впервые побывал в июне 1997 года.

Заниматься музыкой начал с детства: сначала игрой на гитаре, а с 20 лет - на клавишных инструментах.

После возрождения "Modern Talking" оказался единственным музыкантом, который попал в "свиту" МТ из команды Томаса. Посему летает всегда одним рейсом с Томасом, а иногда даже ездит с ним вместе в лимузине.

Однако, работа с "Modern Talking" не является для Бернда основной - он в качестве музыкального директора участвовал в постановке четырёх мюзиклов (в том числе "Les miserables"), которые с успехом шли в Германии.

К собственному 40-летию Бернд решил сделать себе оригинальный подарок: написать музыку к мюзиклу "Elemotions", премьера которого состоялась в Кобленце 21 февраля 2003 г.
